Chief Tim Kluck Chief Kluck began his fire service career in 1979 as a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Hull Fire Department, Stevens Point, WI. He was hired as a full-time career firefighter/EMT by the City of Marshfield Fire & Rescue Department, Marshfield, WI in 1984. Marshfield Fire & Rescue is a full-time department consisting of 34 members. In 1993, he was promoted to the position of Deputy Fire Chief. Chief Kluck accepted the position of Fire Chief for the City of Antigo, WI in 1996 and remained in that position until 2004. The City of Antigo Fire Department is a combination department consisting of 18 full-time and 10 paid-on-call members providing fire suppression, hazardous material team, dive team and ambulance transport services. On April 30, 2004, Chief Kluck accepted the position of Fire Chief for the Village of Plover Fire Department, Plover, WI. Chief Kluck returned to central Wisconsin where he originally began his career to guide a combination department consisting of 2 full-time members and 42 paid-on-call members. The Plover Fire/EMS Department provides a variety of service including; fire suppression, first responder EMT, rescue/extrication, fire inspection, and public education services to a population of 11,500. The department operates 3 engine companies, 1 platform ladder, 3 tanker/tenders, 1 heavy rescue, 1 wildland brush and 1 command center. The Village of Plover has experienced significant growth over the past five years, with numerous big box commercial and multi-family residential developments. He is currently the President of the Portage County Fire Chief’s Association. He has been a member of the International Association of Fire Chief’s (IAFC) since 1993 and the Wisconsin State Fire Chief’s Association (WSFCA) since 1996. Chief Kluck is additionally a certified instructor for the State of Wisconsin. Chief Kluck holds an Associate Degree in Fire Protection from Fox Valley Technical College, Appleton, WI and is a 1998 graduate of the Executive Fire Officer Program (EFOP) at the National Fire Academy, Emmitsburg, MD.
