Chief Danny Sink has been Fire Chief of the Goshen Fire Department since being appointed in September of 2005. Chief Sink has been serving the Goshen Fire Department for almost 31years, starting in November 1981. During his tenure at GFD he has held the position of Lieutenant, Captain Paramedic, Rescue Diver, Chief Paramedic and Assistant Chief. Chief Sink has also been a part-time flight paramedic for Parkview Samaritan in Ft. Wayne from 1991 to 2010.

In addition to his current duties as chief of the department, Chairman of the Indiana Fire Alliance and past President of Indiana Fire Chiefs Association; he also serves on the Elkhart County Public Safety Communications Advisory Board, Safe Kids of Elkhart County Advisory Board, Elkhart Hospital’s Paramedic Education Advisory Board, IU/Goshen Paramedic Education Board and Goshen Salvation Army Advisory Board. He and his wife Diane have four grown children and they enjoy boating on the Upper St. Joseph River.
